*Zackie Zebra* (free pattern)

May I introduce you Zackie, she is wild and beautiful and young zebra, living somewhere in Africa and she is also my free pattern of January as promised last week.
The pattern isn´t tested, so if you find any errors, please tell me... I hope I´ll see many beautiful and wild zebras soon.

Zackie Zebra

Abbreviations:
K = Knit
P = Purl
st = stitch
K2tog = knit 2 stitches together, P2tog = purl 2 stitches together
M1 =
Increase or make 1. You can use a technique you prefer, I use this: From the front, lift loop between stitches with left needle, knit into back of loop
st-st = stocking stitch, K on the right side, P on the wrong side
CO = Cast on.

    1. Hi, these are the basic abbreviations I use for my every pattern:

      K = Knit
      P = Purl
      K2tog = knit 2 stitches together
      M1 = increase one stitch
      st-st = stocking stitch, K on the right side, P on the wrong side
      CO = Cast on.

      I hope this helps :). I'd really love to see your little zebra!

    2. I am having trouble with the 2nd row of knitting with the pattern with the legs. The first row does not give you the number of stitches to do the 2nd row...what is the problem??

  4. I am having a problem understanding the second row of increases...there are not enough stitches put on in the first row to account for the number of stitches you need in the second....with the first row you end of with 12 stitches...the 2nd row requires more than that for it to come out correctly...

    1. Hello (and I'm terribly sorry that I didn't see your comment earlier)
      I tried knitting the leg again and I managed to get enough stitches (with 2nd try though, I dropped one stitch on the 1st try). So my advice is to try knitting the leg from the beginning again and if the stitch still dont't math, just add one extra m1.
